To Our Valued Members,

We regret to inform you that on March 11, 2025, the Aquatic Center experienced a catastrophic failure with our pump equipment. This failure has resulted in significant water damage to all the pumps in the pit. We are actively working with multiple contractors to obtain pricing and timelines, which will be presented to our insurance company. Unfortunately, at this time, we are unable to provide a definitive timeline for when the Aquatic Center will be operational again.

While the pools are emptied, we are using this time for extensive cleaning and repairs to the Aquatic area. These tasks include essential repairs that cannot be completed while the pool is full, such as replacing tiles and grout, power scrubbing the walls, and painting kiddie features, among others.

​

As the Aquatic Center is temporarily closed, we will be issuing refunds for all monthly payments made since March 11, 2025. We will reassess the repair progress on April 11, 2025, to determine if additional compensation is necessary. For those who have paid for full membership at the time of registration, we will extend your membership by one month at the end of your contract. We encourage all members to continue utilizing the remaining facilities and programming.

In addition to the pump issue, we would like to update you on our HVAC project. The new HVAC unit, which was approved by the Tax Increment Finance Authority (TIFA) and the owners of the RAC, is currently on order. We anticipate it will take approximately 16 weeks for delivery, followed by a week for installation.

We are committed to ensuring that the facility remains a premier destination for sports and fitness activities in the greater Romulus area. We deeply appreciate your continued support and patience throughout this process.
