Delivering over 280,000 gallons of water fun, this 5-pool complex brings out the kid in all of us!
The RAC offers every type of aquatic adventure imaginable including: lessons, water aerobics, lap swim, open swim, water walking, birthday parties and corporate rentals. We can tailor an activity or event to meet your needs. If you don't see it, ask, we can make it happen!
SPLASH POOL
This pool’s zero depth entrance will allow young and old alike, easy access to enjoy and explore this wonderful water playground.
LAP POOL
With four lap lanes and a 10 ft. deep end this refreshing and inviting pool offers you a great opportunity for an aquatic workout.
LAZY RIVER
Take an inner tube ride down the lazy river as the current gently takes you for a relaxing journey.
HOT TUB/SPA
Let the soothing jets and warm bubbles gently relax your muscles. Children must be 16 years or older to enjoy this water park feature.
2-STORY WATER SLIDE
This curving water slide is over 120 ft. long and delivers you into the plunge pool!
OUTDOOR SPLASH POOL
Open Memorial Day through Labor Day (weather & staff permitting).
Members of all ages enjoy this interactive playscape.
Our Life guarding courses teach students preventative life guarding and responding to water emergencies while ensuring personal safety. Successful completion of this class will certify students ages 15 and over in Life guarding, First Aid, CPR and AED. Participants must pass swimming prerequisites on the first day of class to continue in the course. Participants must be 15 years of age to participate in the class, and must attend all class sessions.

State Laws:

All persons must shower with warm water and soap immediately before entering the pools.

Bathing suits with liner only in the pools. NO cut-offs, Bermuda-length shorts are permitted.
-
Persons with severe infections or cuts are not permitted in the water.
-
Spitting or blowing of the nose into the pool or gutters is prohibited.
-
All children not potty-trained must wear a disposable swim diaper under a swimsuit.
-
State law requires a minimum height of 48 inches to ride features.

All Pools
-
Children ages 11 and under must be accompanied by an adult to enter Aquatic Center and must remain inside the Aquatic Center with the child at all times.

All Non-swimmers must be watched by a parent/guardian at all times whether they are in a lifejacket or not.
-
Lifejackets are available in the aquatic office and must be worn properly. No Lifejackets allowed in the Spa.

U.S. Coast guard approved life jackets only. Any other floatation device must be approved by the Headguard on duty.

Noodles are not allowed except for Adults using them as workout devices.
-
Appropriate behavior, language and courtesy are expected in all areas of the facility.
-
Diving is not permitted at any depth less than 9 feet.
-
Food, coolers and glass are not permitted in the pool or locker room areas.
-
Inflatable flotation devices are not allowed (Exp. water wings, pool toys, outside inner tubes, lifejackets, etc.)
-
Infant flotation devices are acceptable with Headguard approval and Parent remains in contact with the flotation device.

Clean T-shirts will be allowed in the pools. A swim suit must be worn underneath.

Anyone under the influence of drugs or alcohol will not be permitted in the pool area.

Only sun block lotions are allowed during Summer hours. (Please no tanning oil.)

Street shoes are not permitted on the pool deck at any time.

Running or rough play is not permitted in pool and locker room areas.

You are not allowed in the Aquatic Center if you have consumed any alcoholic beverages or drugs.
-
Persons with severe infections or cuts are not permitted in the water.

Pools are subject to closure at any time.

Romulus Athletic Center staff has the authority to enforce rules that are listed here along with additional rules that may be deemed unsafe or disruptive to any patron. Persons who are disruptive to any Romulus Athletic Center patrons or staff may be asked to leave the pools and/or the facility.
Spa Rules
-
Children under the age of 14 and younger are permitted in the Spa only under the direct supervision of an adult. The supervising adult must be in the water, within an arm's length of the child.

Submerging one's head or swimming is not permitted in the Spa.
-
Children wearing flotation devices, or wearing disposable diapers are not permitted in the Spa.
-
The Spa is subject to closure at any time.
-
For health and safety concerns, a limit of 5-15 minutes in the Spa is recommended.
-
Persons with heart disease, pregnant women, and the elderly should use the Spa with extreme caution.
-
Children are not permitted to sit on the side of the Spa or ledge.
-
Never use the spa if you have consumed any alcoholic beverages or drugs.
-
Persons with severe infections or cuts are not permitted in the water.
Slide Rules
-
Must be 49" tall and know how to swim to ride the slide.
-
Parents may not catch children at the bottom of the slide.
-
Double riding is not allowed.
-
Goggles, eyeglasses, pool shoes, and floatation devices are not permitted on the slide.
-
Riders must ride feet first with arms crossed across their chest while lying on their backs. NO EXCEPTIONS.
-
Swimming in the catch pool is not allowed. Please immediately exit the pool using the ladder.
-
Riders must wait at the bottom of the stairs and top of the slide for the guard to give a thumbs up before continuing.
-
A swim test may be required to use the slide. Riders must be 49 inches tall to use the slide.
-
Maximum rider weight is 300 pounds.
Lap Pool
-
Swimmers who are not swimming laps may be asked to leave the lap lane.
-
When more than two lap swimmers are in a lane, circle swimming will take effect.
-
Lap lane use may be restricted during pool programs.
-
Diving is only allowed in the 10 foot deep end of pool.
Lazy River
-
Swimmers must be in a tube in the River if they cannot touch the bottom with their shoulders at water level.
-
Tubes will be supplied during designated recreational swim times.
-
Tubes must be used by single riders. (Parent may ride outside tube with a child.)
-
All guests in lifejackets also need to be in a tube.
-
No jumping or diving anywhere along river.
-
Please enter and exit lazy river at designated areas only.
-
Tubes are for use in the lazy river only. They may not be used in other pools.
-
Swimmers are not allowed to sit, climb or go over any of walls or islands in the lazy river.
Zero Entry
-
All children under the age of 6 must have a parent in the water, within an arm's length of that child, at all times.
-
Parents in the water with their children must be wearing lined swimsuits.
-
Play features may be turned on or off when deemed necessary by management.
-
No jumping from the walls or stairs of the play features.
-
Climbing on or over the wall of the pool is not allowed.
-
Please do not hang on or swing from the ropes.
-
Slides must be ridden in a feet-first, sitting position only.
